So,

here.......!!"
It is the brightest object in the sky except for the Sun and the Moon.
Venus reaches its maximum brightness shortly before sunrise or shortly after sunset, for which reason it is often called the Morning Star or the Evening Star.
Venus' orbit is the most nearly circular of that of any planet.....
And....
Unlike the Earth, Venus does not rotate in the same direction in which it travels around the sun. Rather, Venus rotates in the retrograde (opposite) direction.
In Mythology,
Venus is the Roman name for the Goddess of Love and Beauty.
In Astrology,
It represents Love, Peace & Harmony.
The Great Karl Wallenda once said, "Life is being on the wire; everything else is just waiting."
The Wallendas are legendary aerialists known for their seven-person chair pyramid on the high-wire, thirty-five feet in the air.
That's pretty scarey stuff!
After seeing their act in Cuba, John Ringling contracted them to perform with his Greatest Show on Earth.
For their 1928 debut, they were scheduled to appear at Madison Square Garden.
There was just one slight problem.
SOMEHOW....
THEIR SAFTEY NET HAD BEEN MISPLACED DURING SHIPPING...!!!
Yikes!
What to do, what to do??
Karl gathered his family around, and calmly said, "God gave us the courage and gift of talent to do our acts, and when he be ready to take us, he will."
So...They decided to go ahead and perform, that night, without the net!!
When the death-defying act was over...the crowd gave them a 15 minute standing ovation....
And from that moment on, THE FLYING WALLENDAS would ALWAYS perform their act WITHOUT A NET!
They would have a few accidents over the years, but every mishap was due to equipment malfunction.
----------------
The story of The Flying Wallendas, their standard of excellence, level of skill, perfection and
fearlessness has always fascinated me.
A few months ago, I caught an interview on televison with Tino, Karl's Grandson. He is now the family patriarch of The Flying Wallendas and is still performing the 7-Man Pyramid
with his daughters and son, his brother-in-law, son-in-law, and family friend.
When he was asked about the "FEAR FACTOR", he replied,
"Karl, during our performances, when we were all up above, he would slowly and calmly repeat,
'Fine....Good....Fine....Good'...The audience couldn't hear him, but The FLYING WALLENDAS sure could. Those words were reassuring to us all, and any fear or nervousness disappeared automatically, every time......No, we're not afraid...You build a trust in your talents and abilities, you build a trust in one another, you build a trust in yourself."
When I heard this, something clicked...and I thought.....
I have situations all the time...when I get tense and things get down-right scary...
With, being a musician, and in bands all my life...up on the stage....performing...I've had some days, when I've doubted myself.....when I've lacked confidence....
And...Not just in front of large audiences.....In just day to day life in general.....
We all share those feelings, I'm sure.....
Days when you feel like you're on a high-wire!!
And you feel like you're doing a balancing act...looking over the proverbial edge!!
Nowadays, I just use Karls' simple two words, as a way to overcome those situations.....
"Fine...Good"..."Fine....Good"....
I repeat them slowly, quietly, easily, to myself....
And man, I tell ya'....They work perfectly for me!
Tranquil calm takes over...and the tension subsides.
Give it a try....You might find, it works for you!
Well, that's all I've got for my inspirational blog today!
You have a "FINE" day.....And a "GOOD" one, too...!

So,

YOU'VE ALL HEARD THE SONG, "PINK CADILLAC" by BRUCE....
As they say....The bigger they are, the harder they fall!!
Mike, (a 57' Chevy-Builder-From- Scratch, who get's off on 57' Chevy's
and Screamin' Guitars) ..... gave me a ride, to the RECONSTRUCTIVE
SURGEON'S OFFICE, the following day...........You can Relax today!
This is April 29th, 2008....in Canada.
This morning, I was watching a wildlife show on TV.
I love animals.
Have you ever seen the rolls of flab on those things?
Soooo............
I
headed to Rona (a hardware store), yesterday....to grab some organic
topsoil/fertilizer for my tulip bed. On the way out, at the cash
register, I spotted one of those Bug Zappers, that look like a small
tennis racquet.
I'm
thinking, my dogs, Diamond (street name, "Monkey") and Jasmine (street
name, "Jazzy Ravioli"), freak out whenever we swat flies with a fly
swatter or newspaper. (BTW, Jazzy, who's the first to run and hide, is
a MOB dog......ie.....SHE WANTS A PIECE OF EVERYTHING YOU'VE GOT!!)
